Some of the biggest names in indie games are teaming up to put on a ‘no fluff’ showcase of new game announcements-

French indie studio Evil Empire, which has spent the last five years working on expansions for roguelike sensation Dead Cells, prides itself on being a “triple I” developer: independent, but still big enough to make “world-class” games. Evil Empire likes the label so much, in fact, that it’s spent the past few months organizing a new showcase with some other indie superstars, including the developers of Slay the Spire, Darkest Dungeon, Vampire Survivors, and Terraria. The Triple-I Initiative will be streaming on April 10 and will show off more than 30 games.

“We did collaborations with many indie studios [for Dead Cells]: Slay the Spire, Risk of Rain, Terraria,” Evil Empire’s marketing director Bérenger Dupré told me in an interview at last week’s Game Developers Conference. “It was a cool experience taking those games and putting them into Dead Cells, but we were always wondering if there was a way to collaborate with our indie friends outside of games.”

When Evil Empire started getting ready to announce its next game, the team thought there was an opportunity for a showcase that sat somewhere between the triple-A announcements of The Game Awards and more niche events like, say, the Wholesome Direct. A few months later, they’d managed to bring together enough indie developers to fill a 45 minute event. “Back-to-back trailers, no hosts or sponsorships, no extra fluff,” Dupré said.

“[Evil Empire] were clear that they had a threshold for the type of announcement that they wanted: they wanted to deliver something really punchy and surprising, and we love surprising,” said Chris Bourassa, co-founder of Darkest Dungeon developer Red Hook Studios. Bourassa said that the Red Hook team hustled to get something ready to show for the April 10th event.

Casey Yano, co-founder of Slay the Spire team Mega Crit, said they were trying to decide how to announce their next game when the Triple-I Initiative came up. “We [thought], maybe these guys need our help, and I want to make this event big. Especially after watching The Game Awards—I don’t want to be super inflammatory, but games that aren’t visually impressive don’t really get a lot of clout … I don’t really want to be on there; I feel out of place. I want to really resonate with people who are more into core experience games.”

“It’s been really great working with these guys,” Yano added. “It could’ve been kind of nonchalant, not very interesting, but it’s going to be pretty hype, I think.”

You can see a full list of the studios participating in the showcase below. The Triple-I Initiative will be streaming on YouTube, Twitch and other platforms on April 10 at 10 am Pacific / 5 pm GMT.

Battlefield 2042's Aiming System Undergoes Major Changes In Next Update

DICE has announced a major change coming to Battlefield 2042 pertaining to aiming as part of a tweak that the developer believes will benefit players and the game in the long run. With the next update, the default setting for Uniform Soldier Aiming will be On as opposed to Off. This will cover both controller and keyboard-and-mouse settings.

But what is Uniform Solider Aiming? According to DICE, this is a behind-the-scenes system that calculates how much input is required to move your gun reticle across the screen no matter how the field of view changes. “It will always take the same amount of pixel distance on screen for a given physical movement of the mouse. This creates more consistency between non-zoom and zoom, as long as individual zoom aim sensitivity (e.g. 1.00x or 1.25x) has not been changed from the default,” DICE said. Come from malaysia online casino

Flock Review – Creature Comforts

The creature-collector genre is dominated by Pokemon and filled out from there with many games heavily inspired by it. Through a certain lens, Flock is a creature collector, too, but if you go into it looking for a game very much like Pokemon, you won’t find it. The task of filling out your Pokedex-like Field Guide by discovering a world of (mostly) fantastical creatures, each with their own physical and behavioral traits, is very much like the genre’s titan, but beyond that, Flock is much more lax, not to mention charming and delicate. It’s better described as a creature observer, and that novel approach winds up being very enjoyable.

Flock takes place in a gorgeously colorful wilderness called The Uplands. As the customizable player character and bird-rider, you and an optional co-op partner head into a small camp where your aunt and some pals need your help cataloging the many critters roaming the land. The entire game takes place on the back of…

GTA 6 Leak Reveals Alligators, Sex Robots, Airboats, And Skunk Ape Sightings

Rockstar was the victim of a massive leak earlier this week, when a hacker published a number of videos and screenshots from an early build of Grand Theft Auto 6. The footage confirms some major details about the game, but eagle-eyed fans have also spotted some curious details that appear to be intended as random events. Come from Sports betting site VPbet

The information comes from Kotaku’s Zack Zwiezen, who combed through the footage for interesting details that were hidden in the huge volume of leaked material released. While it’s still possible to find the leaks online, Rockstar has been vigilant in taking down the copyrighted material, with reposting banned from both the GTA forums and the GTA 6 subreddit.

Battlefield 2042's Class System Will Feature Weapon Proficiencies, Not Weapon Restrictions

DICE has officially given fans more details about how Battlefield 2042’s pivot to a class-based system in the game’s upcoming 3.2 update will work, including information about its new Weapon Proficiency system. Come from Sports betting site VPbet

DICE began a new blog post outlining the changes by explaining how player feedback proved critical in implementing the return of a class-based system in Battlefield 2042. At launch, DICE stated that many players found the Specialists, unique characters who each had a special ability or gadget, polarizing. It was a shift from a familiar class-based formula for the series, and DICE said that it quickly began putting together a team to analyze what could be changed and started to gather fan feedback.
